FC Halifax Town sit third in the Vanarama National League table, despite their defeat at home to Torquay United. The Gulls remain in the play-off places but are now just two points off the top of the table.
The Shaymen are behind Yeovil Town on goal-difference, with the Glovers’ 1-1 draw at home to Boreham Wood enough to see them climb to second, despite conceding a 90th minute equaliser through Kabongo Tshimanga.
Bromley remain top of the table, a point ahead of Town, despite losing to a struggling Wrexham side, who after starting the day in 23rd are now just two points off safety.
Barrow continued their scintillating run of form with their ninth win in 10 games as they played out a 1-0 victory at home to Sutton United, courtesy of a second-half strike from Josh Kay. Visitors Sutton drop to 23rd, and just three points off the bottom of the table.
Woking managed to get their season back on track after a run of 13 games without a win with a 3-1 victory away at Stockport County. A brace from Jake Hyde and a Dave Tarpey strike saw the Cards rise to eighth in the table, whereas Stockport fall to 17th, with their sixth loss in 10 league games.
Notts County managed to claw back a point in their home game against Hartlepool United, after falling two goals behind. Gavan Holohan and Luke James initially gave Hartlepool the lead, but a brace from Wes Thomas saw Notts County remain in the play-offs, in 7th place.
Play-off hopefuls Harrogate Town suffered a 4-2 defeat away at Eastleigh, despite taking the lead inside 10 minutes, but remain in the play-offs, occupying sixth position.
Last year’s play-off semi-finalists Solihull Moors secured victory against Dagenham and Redbridge with strikes from James Ball and Paul McCallum, and move up to ninth, one point off the play-offs with a game in hand.
Towards the lower end of the table, Aldershot defeated Maidenhead 2-0 at The Recreation Ground, and rise to 19th, an important victory after a run of four games without a win. Maidenhead remain in 16th despite the loss, which was their first in 5 games.
AFC Fylde’s poor start to the season continued as they couldn’t secure a victory in new manager Jim Bentley’s first match in charge, drawing 0-0 at home to Dover.
Struggling Chorley lost their third game on the spin, falling to a 2-1 defeat at Barnet. Chorley took the lead with Markus Carver’s first goal of the season in the first-half, but a Jack Taylor penalty and an 80th minute goal from Mauro Vilhete provided victory for the hosts, who rise to 10th, with Chorley remaining at the foot of the Vanarama National League table.
Finally, Ebbsfleet United drew 2-2 at home with an in-form Chesterfield side, who had won four of their last five games in the league. Top-scorer Gozie Ugwu grabbed both goals for Ebbsfleet, but goals from Scott Boden and Haydn Hollis mean they fall to 22nd in the table, with Chesterfield remaining in 18th.
