Ahead of the FC Halifax Townโ€™s visit to Notts County, we look at some of the news from around the National League.

Having been set up following the death of Justin Edinburgh, The JE3 foundation was set up to help charities that focus on health relating to the brain and heart. They are also campaigning to change the law meaning all sports facilities are equipped with defibrillators. The contribution from National League clubs has so far amounted to ยฃ15,000 following bucket collections held on the opening game of the season.

Congratulations to Woking manager Alan Dowson who has won manager of the month for August. This comes after Woking sit second in the league having won seven, and only losing once. Woking are currently level on points with the Shaymen, however have a lesser goal difference.

Again, its Woking that are picking up the plaudits as Ben Gerring has won player of the month. The defender joined Woking in October 2018 and has proven to be a key player, both in last seasonโ€™s promotion and this seasonโ€™s early form.

Both Wrexham and Solihull Moors have progressed to the fourth round of the Scottish Challenge Cup. Wrexham went ahead early on against Ayr United before the Scottish side pulled level. Wrexham came through 6-5 on penalties to advance to the next round. Solihull meanwhile, came from behind to beat Kelty Hearts on penalties as well. In the next round Wrexham will face Saint Mirren Colts whilst Solihull play Ballymena United or Rangers Colts.
