FC Halifax Town fell to just their second defeat of the season at the hands of Yeovil Town. Pete Wild spoke to Shaymen TV after the game to give his thoughts, the nature of the game, wasted chances, and Notts County away.

His thoughts on the gameโ€ฆ

He said: โ€œI thought it was a weary performance. We looked tired, we had put a lot of effort into the last five weeks. That showed today. They had a lot more energy than us. They got around us and amongst us. We were second best today which is disappointing. It doesnโ€™t detract from the good five weeks that we have had.โ€

On how scrappy it wasโ€ฆ

He said: โ€œI think the officials have made it like that. It was disappointing. But Yeovil have come, theyโ€™ve done their homework, and theyโ€™ve slowed the game down. They have more savvy than us on the day. Itโ€™s something for this young group to learn from and something to get better at.โ€

On wasted chancesโ€ฆ

He said: โ€œWe wasted our chances today. Their keeper has pulled off a couple of good saves as well. It just wasnโ€™t our day in front of goal. I place a lot of emphasis on dominating both boxes. I donโ€™t think we can look each other in the eye and say we dominated both boxes.โ€

On Notts County awayโ€ฆ

He said: โ€œ100 percent weโ€™ll bounce back. Weโ€™ll get back on the horse. Weโ€™ll work hard all week to make sure weโ€™re ready for Notts County and weโ€™ll make today a one off. Itโ€™ll be a similar test. I played both sides last year. I know what Neal Ardleyโ€™s teams bring. Theyโ€™ve got some good players there. Iโ€™m sure theyโ€™ll get a run going soon, so weโ€™ve got to be ready.โ€
