On Saturday, FC Halifax Town host Yeovil Town. New to the National League following relegation from League 2 last year, we look at one player who has the caught the eye so far.

Courtney Duffus joined Yeovil back in January and has so far made 24 appearances and scored five goals. Spending two years in Evertonโ€™s youth system, he would play an integral part with the reserve side. He helped Everton win the Under 18s league, the Gothia Cup, as well as being awarded the Premier League’s Under-21 Player of the Month for March. With the Under 23s, Duffus won the league.

Duffus made his senior debut for Bury whilst on loan in 2014. Duffus remained at Everton until 2017 where he then joined Oldham Athletic. He spent one and a half seasons with the club including a brief loan spell with Waterford. After making just nine appearances for Oldham, he signed for Yeovil on the January deadline earlier this year. Despite getting relegated, Duffus made 16 appearances scoring just once.

Duffus is currently eligible to play for England, the Republic of Ireland, and Jamaica. However, he has three appearances for the Republic of Irelandโ€™s under 21s.
