FC Halifax Town look to keep their 100% winning record of the season so far. Pete Wild’s side travel to North Wales to face the Red Dragons of Wrexham, in round four of the Vanarama National League.

Town have so far beaten Ebbsfleet United, Hartlepool and most recently Dagenham & Redbridge. The Shaymen have been busy banging in the goals scoring seven in the three games already, which is joint highest in the league with second place side Solihull Moors.

As ever The Shaymen defence has looked strong and it has remained strong. Keeper Sam Johnson has only had to pick the ball out if the net once this season. This puts Town joint top of the defensive table, along with last year’s beaten play-off finalists AFC Fylde and league new boys Woking.

For the hosts of Tuesdays fixture Wrexham have had a stuttering start to the season. The Red Dragons have had one of each, a win on the opening day against Barrow. Followed up by throwing away a two-goal lead away to Boreham Wood finishing in a draw and losing in the dying minutes away to Dover Athletic. That match also saw Bobby Grant seeing red for an off the ball incident, which will see him miss out on Tuesdays fixture.
While Wrexham have looked good going forward scoring five goals in their opening three games, the defence of The Red Dragons would be considered leaky for a side with their expectations, conceding five goals.

If you are unable to make it to The Racecourse Ground on Tuesday night. You can listen to live commentary from the ground on Shaymen Audio from 7:30pm for a 7:45pm kick off.
