FC Halifax Town entertain Dagenham and Redbridge on Saturday. Letโ€™s look at the players to have pulled on the shirt for both clubs.

Josh Staunton

The Town defender joined the Shaymen last season from Woking but Josh joined the Cards from Dagenham where he went two season

Staunton as on target on Tuesday night in the 2-0 win over Hartlepool and he will be hoping to add to his tally against his former side at the weekend.

Martin Filson

The tall central defender was a fan favourite at Halifax in 1993 after he joined the club from Stalybridge Celtic. He had many memorable moments in West Yorkshire, showing his incredible passion for the game on many occasions. He made the move from Halifax to Dagenham and Redbridge, but still trained with former club Stalybridge, as Dagenham was so far away. He eventually did end up returning to Stalybridge Celtic in 2001, where he was part of a treble-winning side. Heโ€™s now a football agent, with one of his clients being England World Cup hero and Everton goalkeeper, Jordan Pickford.

Deniol Graham

The former Manchester United player suffered a broken arm very early in his Red Devils career which hindered his chances of first-team football at Old Trafford. After the unfortunate injury, his career didnโ€™t really kick on. 4 years later he ended up at Halifax Town only playing 1 game, and then he moved to Dagenham and Redbridge, where he never played and ended his playing career.

Jimmy Hallybone

Another player to make the direct move from Halifax to Dagenham. The midfielder only had a 5-year professional career. One year at The Shaymen, playing 16 games and a year at Dagenham playing 10 games.

Alex Meechan

Meechan was a goalscoring midfielder at Forest Green Rovers. In 3 seasons he scored 33 goals, which earnt him a move to The Daggers. He struggled to make an impact there and moved back to Forest Green a couple of games later. He joined Halifax Town in 2004, where he only played 8 games and scored 1 goal and was then released.

Dominic Naylor

The left-sided player joined Halifax on a short-term loan from Watford in 1989. He only played 6 games and scored 1 goal. Ten years later, he joined Dagenham on loan from Stevenage Borough, and then signed permanently a year later.

Lee Wilson

The striker had a good record at both Dagenham & Redbridge scoring 18 goals in 33 games. He moved to Halifax, only playing 5 games for the club in the same year.

Others: Paul Pettinger, Steve Prindiville, Simon Thompson, Gary Worthington.
