This weekend weโ€™re back at the Shay as we face Dagenham & Redbridge in a quest to make it three wins out of three. Here is the one for you to watch on Saturday as Iโ€™m going to talk a little about winger Angelo Balanta.

Balanta has been playing football in the UK since his professional career started when he was 17 as the Colombian came through the youth at Queens Park Rangers. He spent a massive seven years at QPR only playing 25 times, scoring two goals. He scored his first senior goal for QPR against Sheffield United in 2008.

However, Balantaโ€™s QPR career was stacked on loan moves, he spent one year at Wycombe, then from 2010-2013 he spent on loan at MK Dons where he scored 11 goals over the three years. He had a final loan spell at Yeovil before he signed for Bristol Rovers.

He had a successful season at Bristol Rovers after being released by QPR, but he decided to join Carlisle after one season at Rovers. Carlisle didnโ€™t go so well for him only participating in seven games all season, scoring one goal.

He joined National League side Boreham Wood and spent two successful years there, recording 85 games for the club, scoring 19 goals, the most in his career. In 2018, he joined Dagenham and with all of his experience, heโ€™s certainly a danger for Saturdayโ€™s game.
