Junior Brown was a key player for FC Halifax Town in their first season since formation, netting eight times whilst playing as a winger. Today, Junior is usually played as a left-back and is well travelled since leaving the Shay in 2009.

Straight from Halifax, he moved across to Cheshire and Northwich Victoria. Here, he netter three times in his 32 appearances for the club. Again, this was just a one year spell.

His next move could be argued as the one where Brown’s Football League career really kicked off as he moved to Fleetwood Town.

Brown must surely be high up the appearance list at the Highbury Stadium as he made an impressive 106 appearances for the now League One club. He only scored 13 times for the club, however perhaps showed his versatility being able to play on the wing, or at left-back.

It appears that his career by the seaside perhaps didn’t end as Junior would have hoped with his final few months of his contract being spent at Prenton Park with Tranmere Rovers.

He was soon on the move again, making aΒ  switch to Oxford United for the 2014/15 season. However, this proved to be something of a pointless move as he was shipped out to Mansfield Town on loan. He would then make the move to Shrewsbury Town where he finally managed a decent spell with one club.

In his three years with Shrewsbury, Junior made 89 appearances with a return of six goals before making the move to his current club.

Last summer, Brown made the switch to the Ricoh Arena to play for Coventry City. He looks to be preparing for a second season with the Midlands club as they will be in search of promotion from League One. To date, Brown has made 22 appearances for the club, but is yet to score.
