FC Halifax Town travel to AFC Fylde on Saturday in the Vanarama National League, here’s a look at what else is happening around the division.

League leaders Leyton Orient can win the league title in their own backyard if they gain at least a point with already relegated Braintree Town. Orient’s potential league title would mean a return to the Football League for the first time since 2017.

Salford City are chasing down Orient but they face a much tougher task in a trip to Hartlepool. Sitting just three points behind Orient, anything other than a win would mean they will have to settle for a place in the playoffs.

Solihull Moors also have an outside chance of winning the title. If Leyton Orient lose, Salford fail to win and Solihull beat Dagenham & Redbridge, they could potentially win the league but they’ll need an eight goal swing if that’s to happen.

After FC Halifax Town defeated Wrexham last Monday, they are now destined for a place in the playoffs. The Welsh side will take on Harrogate Town who also booked their place in the playoffs with a win against Gateshead on Monday.

Eastleigh are the final team who will be competing in the playoffs. They travel to local rivals Boreham Wood for their final game of the season. Despite sitting 7th, Eastleigh have one of the worst defensive records in the league so don’t be surprised to see an upset in this one.

At the bottom of the league, Maidstone United face a visit from Aldershot Town. As both sides have already been relegated, there will only be pride left to play for.

Chesterfield’s first season in the National League has not been a successful one as they failed to bounce back at the first attempt. The Spireites travel to Maidenhead United this weekend who have only one once in their last five.

Elsewhere in the division, Gateshead host Barrow, Bromley play Ebbsfleet United, Havant & Waterlooville take on Barnet and Sutton United travel to Dover Athletic.
