With just three games remaining in the League Two season and FC Halifax Town having secured a place in the National League for the 19/20 season, letโ€™s look at who is likely to be joining The Shaymen coming down from the football league.

It looks like two of Macclesfield, Notts County and `Yeovil will be relegated from Englandโ€™s fourth tier and will be visiting the MBi Shay stadium in the league next season.

One of the most fascinating stories at the bottom of the table has been Macclesfield Town. A club promoted from the National League the previous season, and many peopleโ€™s tip to go straight back down with their low budget compared to other teams in League 2, they currently sit one place outside the relegation places.

The Silkmen started the season poorly, picking up just four points out of a possible 36 and were five points to safety at the foot of the table. This led to manager Mark Yates being sacked at the start of October having failed to win a single game. He was replaced by former Premier League winner Sol Campbell, an exciting appointment for all associated with the club.

Campbell steadied the ship winning two games in his first month in charge, with one coming on boxing day at fellow strugglers Notts County, a side not many expected to be down near the bottom of the table having reached the play-offs in the 17/18 season.

Macclesfield have certainly improved under Campbell and look as though they could pull off a great escape having looked doomed in October. Notts County on the other hand look more likely to drop out of the division having struggled all season to put a decent run of form together, with the club on their third manager of the season.

Kevin Nolan was sacked at the end of August after a winless run at the start of the season, including a 4-0 loss at home to Yeovil Town. He was replaced by Crawley manager Harry Kewll, who himself would find difficult to pick up results, winning just three games in 14, leading to him being sacked in mid-November. AFC Wimbledon manager Neal Ardley was his successor, and while he has found better form than the previous two men before him, the Magpies still sit in the relegation zone.

With Macclesfield and Notts County being the two sides occupying the bottom two spots for much of the season, other clubs such as Morecambe, Port Vale, Crawley were not far ahead. Recent club results such as a 4-2 win over MK Dons and a 3-0 victory to Forest Green in the space of three days have seen the Shrimps pull away to near safety, meanwhile a strong run of form to Port Vale has seen them climb to the same feet.

Crawley have been dragged into the relegation dog scrap recently, however their results earlier in the season looked to have secured safety for another season at least. Cambridge United are also down near the bottom after an awful run of form, however likewise with Crawley look to have done enough earlier in the season to survived.

Yeovil on the other hand are in real trouble sitting bottom of the League 2 form table and in the relegation zone. They recently sacked long serving manager Darren Way in a bid to avoid the drop, but with the two teams around them at the bottom on much better form, they could very well drop into non-league.
