FC Halifax Town face Hartlepool United on Good Friday in the next round of fixtures in the Vanarama National League. Here we’ll take a look at the stand out player in The Pools line up.

With 13 goals this season, midfielder Liam Noble has been Hartlepoolโ€™s standout performer this season in what has been a disappointing campaign for the pools. The influential midfielder will hoping to stamp his authority on proceedings against Town as they look for a strong finish to the season.

Noble started his career at Sunderland going out to Carlisle for two loan spells in 2011 and 2012 where he won the Football League Trophy. He then permanently signed for the Cumbrians and he stayed there for another two seasons. In 2014 he joined Notts County where he played a key role in their midfield. To some surprise he dropped down to the National League as he joined Forest Green Rovers. Rovers sealed promotion to League Two but Noble was on the move again to join Hartlepool where he remains today.
