FC Halifax Town face Bromley this Saturday at the Shay. Ahead of this fixture we take a look at a player that has impressed for Bromley this season.

Frankie Sutherland has been impressive for Bromley so far this season and has racked up nine goals from midfield. Currently in his second season with the club, Sutherland has been a key man for the Ravens at the centre of the park.

Sutherland spent seven years in Queens Park Rangersโ€™ youth academy before being moved to the first team in 2013. After signing a new two-year contract, Sutherland played in friendlies against BeลŸiktaลŸ, Southend, and Udinese. He scored once against the Italian side.

After failing to properly break into the first team, he had several loan spells with Portsmouth, Leyton Orient, AFC Wimbledon, Dagenham & Redbridge, and Crawley Town. He would only make 28 total appearances for these clubs between 2013 and 2016.

In September 2016 he joined National League side Woking. After just four months with the Cards and 12 league appearances, he was released and joined Whitehawk in the January of 2017. It would take just half a season for Bromley to notice him as the day before the first fixture of the 2017/18 season, it was announced Sutherland had signed after a successful trial.

Sutherland has represented the Republic of Ireland at youth levels. Making appearances for the Under 17s, 19s, and 21s. He made his Under 17s debut in 2009 facing Russia in a Syrianka International Cup match. He would go on to play two more games before the Republic of Ireland squad were knocked out.

The last time we faced Bromley, Sutherland netted the Ravenโ€™s first goal in the 2-2 draw. Bromley won a penalty and Sutherland stepped up to take. Despite Sam Johnson making the save, he could only push it onto the post and Sutherland was the first to react as he tapped in the rebound.
