FC Halifax Town host Leyton Orient on Saturday with the season approaching its end in the Vanarama National League.

Let’s look at the last couple of times the two teams met.

8th September 2018 | FC Halifax Town 1-1 Leyton Orient

It was an even affair in the first-half of play, as The Shaymen matched the visitors’ pressure. Matty Kosylo tested visiting goalkeeper Dean Brill early on before Orient grew into the game.

O’s forward, Macauley Bonne was involved in much of the positive play for the visitors.

After the interval, Bonne played a similar role in proceedings. He almost manufactured the opening goal 10 minutes in. His good cross found Koroma, whose effort was wide after hitting the post.

Town took the lead after Dayle Southwell calmly slotted home a penalty, following Kosylo being bundled over in the box.

The inevitable Orient attacks followed, and despite admirable resilience from The Shaymen, Orient scored a dramatic late equaliser through James Alabi.

FT: 1-1

30th January 2018 | FC Halifax Town 1-2 Leyton Orient

The visitors, who were also struggling in the league at the time, opened the scoring in the 18th minute when Macauley Bonne scored from just inside the area.

Town levelled 14 minutes later through Tom Denton. A powerful cross from Josh MacDonald found Denton far post who tapped it in from close range.

However, Josh Koroma scored the winner for the visitors six minutes before half-time, when he drove an effort into the bottom corner past Sam Johnson.

FT: 1-2
