FC Halifax Town travel to Dover on Saturday afternoon in the Vanarama National League.

The Shaymen go into the game on the back of a 1-1 draw with Barnet on Tuesday night at The Hive. Halifax fell behind midway through the first half, however recently signed loanee forward Devante Rodney continued his good start to his Halifax career as he equalised for The Shaymen in the 72nd minute to save a point for Town. Rodney made it two goals in as many games for the club, coincidentally both of them coming against Barnet.

Jamie Fullartonโ€™s side will head down south in pretty confident mood considering The Shaymen are now unbeaten in their last six National League games, where they have won three and drawn three. Also in that spell, Town have scored six times and conceded just once – against Barnet on Tuesday night!

The Shaymenโ€™s upturn in form has seen them collect 11 points from a possible 15 over their last five National League Games and are statistically the 3rd best team in the league over the course of the last five matchdays in the National League.

Halifax go into Saturdayโ€™s game in 14th position.

As for Dover, they had a similar result to Halifax last time out as Andy Hessenthalerโ€™s side shared the points with Boreham Wood at The Crabble Athletic Ground. Again, similarly to Town, Dover fell behind against Boreham Wood in the early stages of the game, however Dover equalised soon after courtesy of Mitch Brundleโ€™s goal.

The result saw Dover remain in 20th place in the National League table.

Despite being 20th, Dover will go into the game knowing that they are pretty comfortable in their home surroundings having won the majority of their points at home – 22 points of their 40 points.

Doverโ€™s top goal scorer is Inih Effiong, who has eight National League goals to his name. However interestingly Effiong is without a goal this calendar year but will still be a man to watch out for.

In the reverse fixture at The Shay in November, Halifax narrowly beat Dover 1-0 as Matty Kosylo struck to separate the two sides.

The referee on Saturday will be Carl Brook and he will be assisted by Damith Bandara and Darin Geary while Gerry Heron will be the fourth official.
