FC Halifax Town will Barnet for the second time in a week, as they travel down to The Hive for Tuesday night’s Vanarama National League action.

After Saturdays abandoned match against Ebbsfleet due to a waterlogged pitch, Town’s 3-0 win over the Bee’s last Tuesday was the last time the Shaymen had a run out.

Barnet travelled to Gateshead in their game on Saturday. The Bee’s took the lead in the first half through Ephron Mason-Clark but went down to 10 men after top goalscorer Shaq Coulthirst was sent off in added time in the first half. Gateshead made the man advantage pay and scored twice to take the three points.

That defeat for Barnet leaves them in 19th position with 40 points with only one win in the last five in the league. Only five points above the drop zone but the Bees have a favourable four games in hand over teams around them due to their FA Cup run.

The Shaymen have rediscovered their early season form with three wins out of the last five and have only lost once in the league in 2019 that was against Chesterfield in early February.

As mentioned earlier Barnet’s top scorer Coulthirst will be suspended for the game. James Berrett will have to wait one more game for his suspension due to the abandoned Ebbsfleet game.

If you are unable to make it down to the Hive, you can listen to live commentary from the ground on Shaymen Audio from 7:30pm for a 7:45pm kick off.
