FC Halifax Town host Barnet FC this coming Tuesday at the MBi Shay Stadium (7:45 KO) in The Vanarama National League.
The Shaymen go into Tuesday’s game on the back of a huge victory against promotion contenders Eastleigh away from home. The win came late on in the game within the last 15 minutes as James Ferry was found a few yards out to smash the ball into the net for his first goal for the club and to hand the Shaymen all three points in a tremendous victory. The win made the Shaymen unbeaten in their last four games and have won their last two games on the road.

There were no injuries picked up in the trip to Eastleigh so we should have a similar squad to that game, with Cameron King coming back into the squad. Dayle Southwell, Sanmi Odelusi, Joe Skarz and Ben Tomlinson are still doubts. James Berrett is still serving two more games on his suspension.
The Shaymen are still sitting in 15th place on 43 points.
As for Barnet, they enjoyed a 3-1 victory at home to Barrow in their last game. Elliot Johnson was the first name on the score sheet, while top scorer Shaquille Coulthirst got his 10th of the season to make it 2. An own goal made it three and Barrow scored a late consolation in a comfortable victory for Barnet.
This was Barnet’s first win in the National League since 29th December in an away victory to Dagenham & Redbridge. Barnet have played 4-5 games less than some teams in the National League because of their participation in the FA Cup and FA Trophy this season.
Barnet hold a better away record than home this season, winning 6 in 15 away from home, while they’ve only won 5 in 16 at their home ground The Hive.
Barnet currently sit in 17th place, three points behind the Shaymen but have four games in hand on them, so a win for the Shaymen will improve a gap on Barnet.
This is the first time the two teams have faced each other this season, with this being our game in hand. The reverse fixture is the following Tuesday at Barnet.
Gareth Rhodes will take charge of Tuesday’s game and will be assisted by Terry Fletcher and David Pill. Gareth Thomas will be the fourth official.
