11th April 2015

Barnet 3-0 Halifax Town

The last time the clubs met was in 2015. Barnet, who finished the season as National League champions, were too good for a Town side who finished just outside the playoffs. Portuguese midfielder Mauro Vilhete, who is still at Barnet, put his side ahead after two minutes, before John Akinde added another shortly before half time. Curtis Weston sealed the victory for his side at the hour mark. Town had managed to hold Barnet to a 1-1 draw at The Shay earlier that season, a stoppage time equaliser from Lois Maynard rescuing a late point for The Shaymen.

12th April 2014

Barnet 0-4 Halifax Town

A memorable away victory for The Shaymen came at The Hive back in 2014. Neil Aspin’s playoff chasing side were 3-0 up by half time; Scott Spencer on the scoresheet twice, his strikes coming either side of Lee Gregory’s 100th Shaymen goal. Lois Maynard put the icing on the cake in the second half to make it four, solidifying the result as one of Town’s best away performances in recent history.

9th April 2005

Barnet 3-1 Halifax Town

Barnet were also National League champions in 04/05 and sealed the title by beating Town at Underhill. Lewis Killeen was the Shaymen scorer that day, continuing an impressive record of scoring against The Bees in three consecutive seasons. Barnet finished the season 12 points clear of second placed Hereford to promotion back to the Football League, whilst Town finished the season in 9th place.

21st March 1992

Halifax Town 3-1 Barnet

The first time Barnet visited The Shay was in a Division Four clash in 1992. The Bees had run out 3-0 winners in the same fixture at Underhill earlier in the season, but Town avenged that defeat, with two goals from Lee Richardson and a Paul Wilson penalty sealing the victory for John McGrath’s side.
