FC Halifax Town host Aldershot Town FC on Saturday at the MBi Shay Stadium (3 pm KO) in The Vanarama National League.

Last week Jamie Fullarton’s side were beaten at The Proact Stadium by Chesterfield, a Scott Boden penalty proving the difference. Despite positive results in previous weeks, The Shaymen are without a league win since boxing day.

On Tuesday night Halifax were out of action, however, some games did take place. Aldershot did take to the field as they lost 3-0 to table toppers, Solihull Moors, in a very difficult match.

After the action from midweek, The Shaymen currently sit in 16thposition in the table, 2 points above Dover Athletic who sit in 21st. Aldershot however, sit 22nd, 5 points from safety.  Both sides have 7 wins in the league this season, but The Shaymen have drawn many more games than their visitors. Fullarton’s side have picked up 14 points from draws while Aldershot have only drawn 7.

Back in October The Shaymen were without a win in 7 when they visited the Recreation Ground on the 6th. Aldershot took the lead early on with Portsmouth loanee Adam May opening the scoring on the 8thminute. Then on the 20thminute Adam McDonnell doubled the lead, scoring his first goal since his permanent move from Ipswich Town. Then just after half time, Jake Gallagher looped a header over Sam Johnson for his first goal of the season.

A special ticket offer we have going on this Saturday is that all kids go free, so get yourself down to the MBi Shay Stadium to support the Shaymen.

Match Officials:

Referee: Martin Woods
