As we wrap up the two week focus on the Community & Youth departments of the football club weโ€™dย ย like to thank our sponsors RSA and our funders the National League Trust. Without their support a lot of the work we do would not be possible.

A thank you to our partners Calderdale College, who work with us to deliver the Youth Team education and training facilities. Also to the schools, players and parents who commit to our programmes on a weekly basis.

Some of our programmes have been running for a number of years, we now have a structure in place that we hope to expand in the coming years. Our under-pinning approach is to use football and FC Halifax Town as the medium to reach-out to those within Calderdale, to have a positive impact on the lives of those in our community on and off the pitch. Whilst at the same time creating a programme that will provide young players with the opportunity to flourish.

So far this season we have given free entry to over 800 juniors as part of our different initiatives, including the Match-Day experience, Non-League Day and half-time 5-aside. We have weekly coaching contacts with over 200 players (from 6-months to 18 year olds), we work regularly in local schools and with junior clubs across a variety of initiatives.
