FC Halifax Town took on Solihull Moors in a Second-round replay after drawing 2-2 at home on Saturday and unfortunately lost in a tight 1-0 game.
We caught up with manager Jamie Fullarton after the game to get his thoughts and feelings about the performance.
He felt that โYou donโt always get what you deserve in football and I feel the performance tonight, over the 95 minutes we were the better team in most aspects, and we were punished for not stopping a cross which rebounded off the post which they tapped in on the second phase.โ
We asked him about the difference in approach for the Solihull team and he thought that โour approach we were in control of the game never really under any pressure, thought we coped really well with their physicality, we dealt with their direct play and created a number of chances.โ
He said that: โwhat we look at from a coaching or mangers point of view is can we create a number of chances, goalscoring opportunities through our passages of play and can we limit and restrict the opposition to the least amount of chances as possible.โ
Barrow on Saturday gives the Town team some time to recover after two games in quick succession and we caught up with Jamie to give us his feelings about the game on Saturday.
โIt will be a difficult game, played them twice already this season and we know what we expect from them and with the thoughts and position we are in at the moment, I made four changes tonight and we were able to make four changes, thereโs been games where weโve had thirteen players available due to injuries, suspensions and size of squad, thereโs competition for places within the squad.โ
