FC Halifax Town were defeated at home to Sutton on Saturday, we caught up with Jordan Preston after the game

Were you unlucky to not at leastย come away with a point?

Yeah we were unlucky but, there’s been too many times this season where we have being unlucky. We would’ve been disappointed with a draw today never mind losing in the last minute we need to start picking up three points its as simple as that.

Second time in a week we’ve come up against a negative team you’ve created chances again like you did on Tuesdayย night, do you think there’s anything more that you can do to get the win?

Think today the final ball needed be a little bit better to make chances and as of Tuesday to put away those chances. Two different things but two big things if we want to win football games. We know we can do it, it needs to come now though need to starting picking up points now, we don’t want to be looking over our shoulders after Christmas and ending up in a relegation battle.

Do you feel they deliberatelyย came to stop-start the game, couple times we hit them on the counter and they would commit needless fouls?

Yeah they were, they came for the draw you could see that from the 10-15 minutes they were slowing play down the staff were slowing everything down and them as a team were as well.

Do you think the referee should’ve done more to control that then, it wasn’t till late on in the game he made an example and booked a Sutton player?

The game has gone now so I’m not going to comment much on the ref.

Concedingย late is never easy, how does the team react now with fixtures now coming up thick and fast?

Think the only positive that you can take is that we’ve got two three games in the next week so we can bounce back quick and its not going to get any easier, the games coming up are tough games, but we know we’ve got enough to pick three points up at places like Gateshead and Harrogate. We are not phased by anyone we just need to start getting the three points on the board.
