FC Halifax Town drew with Boreham Wood 1-1. Shaymen TV Spoke to PPosthil Hughes to get his thoughts on the game.
He said: βWe showed good character to bounce back, we took control of the game certainly within the first halfβ
Boreham Wood currently sit in 11th place but only 5 points behind the Shaymen, but he did believe that it was a missed opportunity to get 3 points.
Despite the extremely poor conditions at Barrow on Saturday he did believe that βthe conditions looked after that for us and I think the team was ready to performβ and that the Barrow game did not affect performance of the team.
Despite the early goal we did have to recover from that but as the game grew βthe front four became very effectiveβ allowing Dayle Southwell to get back on the scoresheet.
He did believe that half time did come at the wrong time saying: βWe were in ascendency and a number of players got a grip of the game and we were looking like we were going to go on and score a few goalsβ
He did say that he was glad to see Ben Tomlinson make his return to the pitch, the first time since the Gateshead game.
He Said: βWere looking forward to Sutton, very very good team at the top end of the divisionβ.
Looking forward to Saturday as Town take on Sutton at Home. Hughes, despite expecting a very hard game is hopeful of a good result against them.
