FC Halifax Town are once again at the Shay this week after hosting Boreham Wood in a 1-1 draw on Tuesday night. Town welcome Sutton United this Saturday to the Shay for a 3pm kick off.

The Shaymen remain in 16th position after Tuesdays 1-1 draw on 27 points, only one point behind Barnet and Dagenham & Redbridge who are just above Town. The U’s will travel up from London in 8th position on 37 points and will be looking to put themselves back in the play-off positions.

The U’s were not in action on Tuesday night but were in FA Trophy action away to Bromley where they suffered a 2-1 loss conceding two goals in two minutes. Their last action in the Vanarama National League was a 2-2 draw at home to fellow promotion chasers Solihull Moors. Sutton come to the Shay in a bad patch of form as the U’s have not won in five games in the league drawing four losing one to Maidenhead United.

The last time Sutton were victorious in the league was a 1-0 win over Dagenham & Redbridge back on the 3rd November. During that time they’ve had draws against Braintree Town, Gateshead and also a shock defeat to Slough Town in FA Cup first round replay. The National League South side beat The U’s 8-7 on penalties.

The Shaymen come into the game undefeated in three across all competitions and win against Sutton will lift Town onto 30 points which if results go our way will put us in 14th position.

If you are unable to make it down to The MBi Shay Stadium you can listen live audio commentary from the Shay at 2:45pm for a 3pm kick off this Saturday.
