FC Halifax Town host Sutton United on Saturday, with The Shaymen looking to build on their midweek draw with Boreham Wood.
This week, there is only one player that has pulled on the blue of Halifax Town and the amber of Sutton United.
Rob Scott played for 10 clubs throughout his 16-year playing career. He started at Sutton United and ended at The Shaymen. Playing with the two clubs was the only Non-league football Scott played.
It’s not quite definite how many games the versatile defender played for Sutton United but he was only there for a year before he moved to Sheffield United.
His most successful spell was probably his two years at Fulham where he played 81 games and scored 16 goals. His former boss at Fulham, Micky Adams, said this about Scott in 2011,
“He would play anywhere and try his best whether he was right wing or centre-forward. He had a great long throw, he was quick and was one of my main players when Fulham got promoted – he also chipped in with useful goals. Rob was a top professional and never gave me any trouble”.
After finishing his career with only 6 games for The Shaymen, Hurst joined Paul Hurst as manager at Ilkeston Town. He and Hurst stayed as a management duo. They went on to Boston United and then Grimsby Town.
The 45-year-old is now working for Watford currently working in senior recruitment.
