New signing James Ferry joined FC Halifax Town on a three month loan deal this week and made his debut against Barrow in the FA Trophy on Saturday. We caught up with James after the game.

“I am excited to be here and I was really happy with the win on my debut.”

“I found settling in well, I have moved in with some of the lads and they have welcomed me really well. I trained with them on Thursday and Friday and got my chance to make my debut at Barrow. “

“To be fair, my first ever men’s game was for Welling United at Halifax and two year’s later I am back playing for Town and the weather at the Shay wasn’t great that day but the game at Barrow was probably one of the worst conditions I have played in. “

“I was happy with my performance, it was difficult in midfield with the conditions, you must play the conditions well and we got the win from the match.”

“The wind was a big factor, we got the goal in the first half. Showed great character to come back and win the game. “

“I want to win every game, keep the ball and get around the pitch.”

“Going back to my league debut it was a 1-1 draw, I remember it clearly, there was snow on the p itch. It was a great ground and Halifax had a lot of fans there that day”

“Since then my career has progressed well, I have played games, I am getting stronger, and I want to cement my place here.”

“On Tuesday night, we face Boreham Wood and it is exciting to be back after two years and I will be striving to help the team get all three points. Games are coming thick and fast, we need to manage that busy schedule and get the results.”
