Ebbsfleet United: Player Spotlight

FC Halifax Town travel to Ebbsfleet on Saturday to face Garry Hill’s side.

Hill, who has been recently appointed after McMahon’s departure, lost in his sides FA Cup replay to Cheltenham on Tuesday night.

In today’s article, we’ll be looking at a key man for The Fleet.

Danny Kedwell is the sides top goal scorer this season having bagged 6 goals in the league.

He scored his sides last goal on the 3rdof November. Bagging the winner in a 1-0 victory over Barrow. That was his first goal for almost a month as his last goals came in a 3-1 win over Dagenham and Redbridge where the striker bagged a brace.

This season, Kedwell has also bagged the winner against Eastleigh. Away from home the 35-year-old, scored on the stroke halftime to give his side the 3 points. He’s also scored in the 3-0 win against Barnet and a conciliation goal as The Fleet lost 4-1 against Wrexham.

Kedwell has been at Ebbsfleet since 2015, playing well over 100 games for the London side and scoring around 50 goals.

He also played for The Shaymen’s FA Cup second round opponents AFC Wimbledon in the Conference. He scored in the penalty shootout to earn The Dons a spot in League football. That also earnt himself a move to Gillingham where he once again scored many goals. After bagging almost, a goal every other game at Wimbledon he scored 40 in 119 games for The Gills in a spell in league 1 and 2. While at Gillingham he also won League 2 in 2013.
