Following FC Halifax Town’s 2-2 with Warrington Town on Saturday, the Shaymen will face them again in a replay at the Shay on Tuesday.

A 71st minute equaliser from Matty Kosylo saw the scores level after 90 minutes which means at least another 90 will be needed to decide which team progresses to the first-round proper.

In the first meeting, it took just five minutes for Halifax to take the lead as Nathan Clarke headed in a corner, but a goal either side of half time for Warrington meant they looked too good to progress. Up stepped Kosylo and his equaliser meant relief for Halifax as an upset was avoided.

Warrington currently sit third in the Northern Premier League, eight points off top spot but with four games in hand. The Yellows have only lost once in their last 16 games with 10 of those being wins.

In contrast, the Shaymen haven’t won since the 27th of August, a run that means Town are currently without a win in 10 games.

Warrington are yet to lose away from home and have only conceded four league goals so far this season. In comparison, Halifax have shipped 17 goals in the Vanarama National League.
