This week saw the FA Cup fourth qualifying round draw FC Halifax Town faced with an away trip to Warrington Town as The Shaymen will be looking to progress through the competition.

Salford City further secured their place at the top of the table as the Greater Manchester side travelled to the south coast to take on Dover Athletic and left victorious as an Adam Rooney hat-trick contributed to a 4-1 away win.

Staying with Dover it’s been all change for The Whites this week as Chris Kinnear’s replacement has been appointed after his departure last week. Andy Hessenthaler re-joined his former side to try and help the side avoid relegation this week.

This week also saw the side from the south coast go full time this week with new boss Hessenthaler saying β€œThe Chairman wants to go full-time. We’re going to change that, and the players are going to be training during the day. I want to implement that straight away. That’s going to happen.”

Graham Alexander won the Vanamara National League Manager of the Month for September as he guided his Salford City side to six consecutive wins. Victories over AFC Fylde, Maidstone United and Bromley amongst others contributed to the former Burnley player pick up the award.

Bradley Quinton was relieved of his duties at Braintree Town this week after the Essex side have picked up just one win all season.

Marvin Ekpiteta won this month’s Vanarama National League Player of the Month; the Leyton Orient centre back enjoyed a successful September which at times saw The O’s sit at the top of the table with them scoring 17 goals and conceding just 4 thanks to Ekpiteta and co.
