Funded by FC Halifax Town, The National League Trust and Community Sponsors RSA Insurance; Shaytots is an innovative way for children aged 6-months to 4 years to learn and enjoy sport. Sessions are focused on fun and structured play and include full parental participation.
Using the FC Halifax Town coaching syllabus and specially selected equipment the programme uses football as a medium to introduce toddlers to a variety of exercises to help develop physical skills of agility, balance and coordination, children will also be helped with their first steps in reading and numeracy.
On graduating from Shaytots players will possess a good understanding of fundamental football skills such as; dribbling, passing, control and players will be able to continue their longer-term development in the FC Halifax Town Player Development Centres.
Sessions are split into three stages of development:
- Stage 1: non-walking to walking (6-months upwards)
- Stage 2: walking to 3 years
- Stage 3: 3-4 years
The second block full block of sessions take place at St Thomas’ Parish Hall, Rochdale Road, Greetland. To find out further information or to book a place contact shaytots@fchalifaxtown.com.
