FC Halifax Town drew 0-0 with AFC Fylde last night and the official website managed to catch up with manager Jamie Fullarton to get his post-match comments.

β€œThe performance was pleasing. The group was utilised due to injuries and suspensions, and credit to the group because we went toe-to-toe with a team that was in the top seven. They’ve only had one defeat this season and we were more than a match for them.”

Despite the match ending goalless there were plenty of chances for either side in what was an exciting 0-0. Jamie thought his side were the dominant of the two out on the pitch.

β€œI think both sides went out to win the game and both sides believed they could win the game. I think when you have that belief and you look to go and win it, it results in a quite exciting game. There were goal scoring opportunities on both sides, with us probably edging the greater, stronger and more clear-cut chances. Unfortunately, it remained 0-0.”

We’re now a quarter of the way through the 2018/19 league campaign and we asked Jamie if he was happy with the performances of his side so far. The manager joked:

β€œI’m never really happy with anything.”

He continued:

β€œI think if you look on performances, other than the discrepancy down at Maidenhead, then I have to give credit to the players for implementing what we’re trying to do and there’s always room for improvement.”

FC Halifax Town now sit in 10th in the table and will take on Bromley this coming Saturday. The full interview with Jamie Fullarton is available right now on Shaymen TV.
