FC Halifax Town face promotion contenders Hartlepool United this Saturday at the MBi Shay Stadium. The Shaymen will look to gain their place back in the play offs with coming away with all three points in this tasty looking affair.

Town go into the game with no wins in their last four games. Last game out they faced a torrid defeat at York Road losing 3-0 against Maidenhead United. After going down 3 goals down at half time, it was too tough of a task for the Shaymen to come back into the game, despite their fight and determination to try and find a way back.

FC Halifax Town hope to continue their great home form as they are still unbeaten at the MBi Shay Stadium winning 4 out of 5, after drawing their last home game conceding a last-minute equaliser to Leyton Orient, drawing the game 1-1. The Shaymen currently sit in 10th place after dropping down a few positions in the last couple of games but theyโ€™re only one point adrift from a play-off spot.

Hartlepool United hold a great away record so far this season, with them being unbeaten so far in the five away games theyโ€™ve played and also they havenโ€™t lost in their last 8 games, only losing 1 game so far this season. Theyโ€™ve won 3, drawn 2 of their away games, winning their last three games on the road against Solihull Moors, Havant & Waterlooville and Dagenham&Redbridge. ย Last game they faced Eastleigh at home, they couldnโ€™t finish the game off and ended up drawing 1-1 after an Eastleigh equaliser in the last quarter of the game.

The two sides met last season at the MBI Shay Stadium, where FC Halifax Town came out 2-0 winners. It took till the 74th minute for FC Halifax Town to take the lead with Nathan Hotte grabbing the goal. The Shaymen sealed the win with Ben Tomlinson finding the net to double their lead. With FC Halifax Town having a good home record, and Hartlepool having a good away record, this game is setting up to be a cracker.
