FC Halifax Town take on Leyton Orient on Saturday (8th September) in the National League, with both sides looking to continue their positive starts to the season.

Orient are currently joint top of the National League alongside Harrogate Town on 19 points, sitting second only on goal difference. As well as this, they are only one of two teams in the division that still have an unbeaten record alongside Harrogate, having won five and drawing four of their nine matches.

The O’s come into Saturday’s game in the midst of a three match winning streak. As recently as Tuesday night, they picked up their third consecutive win securing a 3-0 victory at home to Solihull Moors, with goals from skipper Charlie Lee, top goalscorer Macauley Bonne and fellow striker Matt Harrold.

As for The Shaymen, they come into the game in fourth place in the table on 17 points, two points behind their opponents on Saturday.

Halifax return to The Shay, having played their last two league games away from home, where they have shared the points on both occasions with draws to fellow early front runners Wrexham and Sutton respectively.

They now go back to home comforts, where they currently have a 100% record, having gained maximum points in all four of their home matches so far this season.
