FC Halifax Town continue their National League campaign on Monday the 27th of August as they welcome North East side Gateshead FC to the MBi Shay stadium in a game where Jamie Fullartonโ€™s men will be looking to bounce back from Saturdays disappointing away defeat at Boreham Wood.

The Shaymen have so far amassed 12 points from an available 18 so far this season which places them currently 4th in the table behind leaders Wrexham, AFC Fylde and Yorkshire neighbours Harrogate Town.

Town have been in impressive goal scoring form so far this season with the strikes being shared evenly throughout the side. Jonathan Edwards, Matty Kosylo, Dayle Southwell and Nathan Clarke all find themselves with a record of two conversions; whilst other individual goals have come from Cameron King and skipper Matthew Brown.

The Shaymen also find themselves undefeated at home and will look to maintain that record as they welcome The Tynesiders to West Yorkshire.

Gateshead enter this tie currently sitting 6th in the National League table, one point behind The Shaymen and will be looking from a win to leap frog the hop side up the division.

However, The Heedโ€™s form of late has been uninspiring of late failing to win in any of their previous three games after a promising start to their campaign after they won their opening three games, the side from the North East head into this game after drawing to former football league side Leyton Orient in their last outing.

A bright spark in Gatesheadโ€™s season however, has been the success of their loan signing Luke Armstrong who has been brought in from Championship outfit Middlesbrough and has found the net 5 times in the opening 6 games.

The tie also sees a few familiar faces return to the MBi Shay Stadium with Scott Boden who has scored once this season coming back to West Yorkshire also joined by former Shay player Connor Thompson.

The side managed by former Newcastle, Everton and Sheffield Wednesday striker Steve Watson will be looking to improve on their tally of 9 league goals as they look to overturn FC Halifax Town on Bank Holiday Monday.
