Wrexham started the day top of the table and that’s exactly where they finished it. Despite taking a two-goal lead, a last-minute own goal from the Welsh side meant that Bromley were sent home with a point.

Maidenhead United were also the recipients of a fortunate own goal. Their match against Maidstone United was shown live on BT Sport where viewers witnessed a five-goal thriller. The 90th minute own goal from Maidstone’s De Havilland gave Maidenhead a 3-2 win and all three points.

After FC Halifax Town’s 2-1 defeat against Boreham Wood, AFC Fylde move up into second as they were involved in the only goalless game of the day away at Sutton United. Don’t worry though Shaymen faithful, Town have only dropped down to fourth place.

Town’s Yorkshire rivals Harrogate Town now move into third after a 3-1 home win against Solihull Moors. Ebbsfleet United also were 3-1 winners against Aldershot Town.

The losses continue for Dagenham & Redbridge as they were beaten 2-1 at home to Hartlepool United. The loss means that The Daggers now sit rock bottom of the Vanarama National League having accrued just one point from their opening six games.

Braintree Town are the only other winless team in the division as they were beaten away at Barrow 1-0. Dover Athletic lost 2-1 at home to Eastleigh while Chesterfield were upset 1-0 against Barnet.

Finally, there were two other draws, Gateshead and ten-man Leyton Orient played out a 1-1 draw and Havant & Waterlooville secured a point against Salford City.
