FC Halifax Town carried on their perfect run with a 3-0 victory over Maidstone United on Saturday to go top of the Vanarma National League.

Cameron Kingโ€™s deflected shot five minutes from half time made it 1-0, with Ben Tomlinson rifling in at the front post early in the second half to make it 2, and a Dayle Southwell penalty capping of the goals for The Shaymen.

In the early kick off, Wrexham defeated last seasons play off finalists Boreham Wood 3-0 at the Racecourse Ground with Jonathan Maguire-Drew, Rekiel Pyke, and former FC Halifax Town loanee Mike Fondop Talom all getting on the scoresheet for The Dragons.

Eastleigh picked up their first points of the season with a 2-1 victory over recently relegated Barnet at The Hive. Eastleigh went 1-0 up through Michael Green, then doubling their lead on 65 minutes through Paul McCallum. Barnet pulled a goal back through Charlee Adams at the death, but it was too late for a fightback.

Fellow Yorkshire side Harrogate Town drew 1-1 with Bromley at Hayes Lane. The hosts took an early lead after George Porterโ€™s low drive on 11 minutes, until Harrogate equalized through Dominic Knowles on seventy-three minutes.

Chesterfield made it three wins out of three with a 1-0 win over Braintree, with Curtis Weston striking the winner fifty-nine minutes in to maintain their perfect record after being relegated from League Two last season in the bottom spot.

Dagenham and Redbridge struck a late equalizer through Elliot Romain against 10-man Maidenhead United, as the game at Victoria Road finished 2-2, with the visitors twice taking the lead. Ayo Obileyeโ€™s finish was cancelled out by Alex McQueenโ€™s lob and Nana Osuwuโ€™s strike eventually being cancelled out by Romainโ€™s finish.

Gateshead maintained their 100% start, coming from behind to defeat Dover 2-1. The hosts took the lead on the quarter hour mark through Jamie Allen. Robbie Tinkler equalized 10 minutes later, before Luke Armstrong scored for the third successive game to grab a late winner.

Ebbsfleet defeated Hartlepool United 1-0 as they secured their first three points of the season at Victoria Park. Jordan Whiteleyโ€™s late strike was enough to secure victory for the visitors, as they climbed to 9th in the table.

National league new boys Havant and Waterlooville are still searching for their first win after a 1-1 draw with AFC Fylde. Fylde frontman Danny Rowe put The Coasterโ€™s ahead from the penalty spot, until the hosts equalised three minutes into the second half, Nick Kabamba scoring the equalizer.

Leyton Orient drew for the third consecutive game as they were held at home by Barrow. The visitors took an early lead on four minutes through Jack Hindle, until Orient equalized ten minutes after the start of the second half through Macauley Bonne. Bonne doubled both Orientโ€™s lead and his own goal tally to make it 2-1 on 80 minutes, until Barrow snatched a late equalizer through Raul Correia.

Solihull Moors are another side that maintained their 100 percent record with a 1-0 victory over Aldershot, sending the visitors bottom of the league. Danny Wright was the man who hit the winner, with Wright bouncing in on a rebound.

10-man Sutton United came back from behind to beat National League big spenders Salford City in a 2-1 victory. The hosts took a lead on twenty minutes through Carl Piergianni, before Craig Eastmond equalized for the hosts 10 minutes later. Aswad Thomas received a straight red card for the hosts on 54 minutes, before Ross Lafayette slotted home to win the game for Sutton.
