A quick round up of everything that’s happened in the Vanarama National League over the weekend.

Former Wrexham and Chester midfielder John Rooney signs for Ian Evatt’s Barrow.

Dagenham & Redbridge take this summerโ€™s departures into double figures as midfielder Luke Howell joins Aldershot and becomes their second signing this summer.

Bromley have bolstered their defence as continued talks and negotiations have finally secured 35-year-old experienced centre half Roger Johnson on a new deal that will keep him at for another year.

Solihull Moors secure Cheltenham striker Danny Wright. The 33-year-old joins hoping to make the differences as he did for Cheltenham two years ago helping secure the clubs football league status.

Eastleigh began their preseason fixture list on Saturday with a 2-1 victory against Championship side Reading. The Spitfires looking to get a head start on the rest of the league and it was the start Andyย Hessenthaler wanted. Ben Williamson’s late goal secured the win against the Championship side.

Jack Muldoon becomes new National League side Harrogate Town’s fourth signing of the summer as they continue to strengthen their side for the upcoming season. Muldoon joins after just completing his first season at AFC Fylde where he played 25 times for the Lancashire side and netting 7 goals.

Braintree Town back into the National League and looking to stay as they boost their squad with the announcements of two new signings. Defender Michael Clark joins from fellow national league side Leyton Orient and winger Lyle Della-Verde signs from Dartford after leaving the club earlier this summer.

Hartlepool United surprise league with new signing Liam Noble joining from Notts County. The 27-year-old was regarded as one of League Two’s best midfielders and pools manager Matthew Bates has done enough to convince the former Forest Green Rovers player. He joins alongside 4 new faces in the North East as he becomes Hartlepoolโ€™s fifth summer signing.

Wrexham kicked off their preseason friendlies against fellow welsh side Lex on Saturday afternoon, Sam Ricketts first game in charge of the club and the first national league side to return to action. A not so comfortable 2-1 win for the Dragons as Jack Mackreth slid through trialist Elstone who’s finished separated the two sides.

Two new signings have arrived at Eastleigh, bringing youth to the side, something manager Andy Hessenthaler says he will be recruiting, as he wants aย side full of younger legs this season. Woking versatile man Joey Jones and Maidstone United’s Alex Wynter join the Spitfires for the upcoming season.
