Maidstone United have begun trimming their squad, days after the season’s end. Jay Saunders has let go of Joe Anderson and Reece Prestedge. Both players turned out more than fifty times for the Stones. Both players featured in the 16-man squad against Halifax on the weekend.

Wrexham’s disappointing end to the season has led to the departure of Andy Davies and Carl Darlington. Davies has been replaced by former Bolton Wanderers and Wolverhampton Wanderers defender, Sam Ricketts. The former Welsh international, who played 52 times for his country, signs a three-year deal at the Racecourse Ground.

Torquay United have released five of their players upon relegation from the National League. Reece Mitchell, Conrad Balatoni, Sam Chaney, Yan Klukowski and Jake Gosling won’t be at Plainmoor next season. Jake Reid is the only player assured of his place in Gary Owers’ team.

Maidstone and Halifax conjured up a near-3000 crowd. Something only bettered in four National League fixtures over the weekend. Tranmere Rovers and Hartlepool drew in 5,499 spectators at Prenton Park, in what was a dead rubber.

The National League has announced Ladbrokes as it’s official betting partner for the play-off fixtures.
