With Town out of action, we look at the results from Tuesday night in The Vanarama National League.

Aldershot moved into the 3rd place last night with a 1-0 victory over Gateshead. Scott Rendell’s strike on the stroke of half-time was enough to seal the 3 points, which helped Aldershot leap-frog Sutton Untied into 3rd place in The Vanarama National League.

Bromley came out on top when they met Dagenham & Redbridge, with a 3-1 win. Dagenham & Redbridge took the lead in the 54th minute of the game, thanks to a strike from Luke Howells, but just 3 minutes later Bromley equalised with Jack Holland heading in from a corner. Howell repeated his header in the 71st minute, thundering the ball past Gregory to give Bromley the lead. The game was later put to bed late on in stoppage time as Frankie Raymond sunk The Daggers and sent them home empty handed.

Tranmere took a step closer to promotion as they won 1-0 away from home to Dover Athletic. The league’s top goal scorer Andy Cook gave Rovers the win with a his 26th goal of the campaign, making it 5 straight wins for the visitors.

Ebbsfleet moved into the play-off places with a 1-0 victory away from home against Eastleigh. They left it late however, as substitute Jonathan Powell’s corner was headed in by defender Clark in the 82nd minute to seal the points. Ebbsfleet still have a game in hand over the other play-off contenders, giving them an exceptional chance to seal their play-off place.

Guiseley’s relegation was confirmed as they lost 1-0 to Barrow. The away side dominated from the off, but it took till the 48th minute for Asa Hall to give them the lead as Guiseley couldn’t deal with a dangerous cross into the box, with Hall heading in well. Bromley went down to ten men late on but held on to remain 10th in the league.

Hartlepool confirmed their place in The Vanarama National League with a 1-0 victory over Leyton Orient. Louis Laing gave Hartlepool the lead in the 38th minute, finding the net with a header over Orient Keeper Dean Brill. Hartlepool’s Devante Rodney was dismissed late on for a second bookable offence, but they held on to secure the 3 points.

Sutton United fell into 4th place with a 3-1 defeat away from home to Maidenhead United. The hosts went 2-0 ahead after 32 minutes with goals coming from Harry Pritchard and Jake Goodman, with a consolation goal coming late on for Sutton from Craig Eastmond. The loss makes it the fourth loss in their last five outings, seeing them fall down the league rapidly.
