The Shaymen carry on their busy week at the Shay with a game against Gateshead tonight but the rest of the teams in the Vanarama National League will be sitting at home preparing for their next fixtures on Saturday. Let’s take a look at what’s in store.

On BT Sport at lunchtime, the league leaders; Macclesfield, could seal the top spot with a win at home to Leyton Orient if Tranmere lose to their promotion rivals Aldershot Town – the two teams are two-points apart – a win for Tranmere will keep the title race going a little longer.

Over at the bottom half of the table, Torquay will host us on Saturday at Plainmoor where they will hope to get three crucial points if they are to catch up to Barrow, they will have a tough task hosting Ebbsfleet United who are currently unbeaten in their previous nine games including a draw to the Silkmen and a dominant win over promotion chasers Wrexham.

With Ebbsfleet chasing the play-off spots, Dover who have two games in hand, will host Maidenhead United at Crabble Athletic ground. Both Ebbsfleet and Dover are chasing Wrexham and Boreham Wood as we reach the final stretch of the season.

After we beat Sutton United on Tuesday night, Hartlepool will look to take advantage when they travel to Gander Green Lane to play them. A win for Hartlepool could secure their spot in the Vanarama National League next season.

Guiseley, who still have a potential 18 points to grab in the next six games, will go to Damson Park to face Solihull Moors who are unbeaten in eight since they beat us at the Shay in February, they’re still looking a tough side to beat after their 3-0 against Wrexham on Tuesday.

The other relegation candidate, Chester, will travel to Meadow Park for a tough match against Boreham Wood who have lost two games back-to-back from the Shaymen and the Silkmen.

Here’s how the other fixtures are looking this weekend:

  • Woking v Bromley – 3pm
  • Gateshead v Eastleigh – 3pm
  • Wrexham v Dagenham & Redbridge – 3pm
  • Maidstone Untied v AFC Fylde – 3pm
