FC Halifax Town boss Jamie Fullerton was pleased to get the 1 point, but disappointed to miss out on taking all 3 points, in their dramatic 2-2 draw against Gateshead.

Town scored a late equaliser in stoppage time thanks to substitute Matt Kosylo, after an end to end half.

“It’s a manic week for us, second half it was manic, I think it reflects the character the players have and the intent that were looking to move forward, and produce performances like that,” said Fullerton to Shaymen TV at full-time.

The game marked the fourth game for The Shaymen within 7 days, and the third game in a row that Town have scored 2 goals.

“There’s always a worry that fatigue could influence, although we were disappointed with our first half performance, with very few bright sparks during that first half, the second half reflected the players attitude and intent to go win the game.”

“It’s important that we continue to create chance, if we continue to create chances for people like Mike, like Ben and like Conor then we will be looking to win games.”

“If you look at the way the players have responded in previous games, we’re always in the game, and it was a classic example tonight of always being in the game.”

“It shows the unity and the collectiveness to go get the 7 points from 9 so far, with another game on Saturday.”

The Shaymen now look to Saturday’s fixture away to relegation battlers Torquay.

“We’re going to go and try and win every game that we play, irrelevant of where they are in the league, irrelevant of where we play, that is our intention, I think we have shown that throughout and we will continue on Saturday.”
