New signing Jacob Hanson believes he draw experience from his first team appearances for Bradford to make an impact in the National League this season.

The full back has joined the Shaymen on loan until the end of the season from the Bantams.

He becomes one of the fourth and fifth signings of the Jamie Fullarton era, joining fellow defender Samuel Graham who also joined on loan from Sheffield United.

Hanson has made three league appearances for Bradford this year and cannot wait to get involved for the Shaymen.

โ€œIโ€™m excited, itโ€™s my first game today so Iโ€™m really looking forward to it.โ€

His experience for the League One side could prove invaluable for Fullartonโ€™s side, however Hanson believes that first team football anywhere is important.

โ€œI think any kind of first team football can give you an advantage at any team definitely.โ€

The ex-Huddersfield academy player, who spent six years in their academy, can play both full back and centre back which would make him a real asset to Fullartonโ€™s squad.

However, Hanson believes his best qualities are to come from full back, where he can push on and join the attack.

โ€˜The fans can expect me to be bombing forward up the line, getting down the wing but tracking back as well.โ€™

โ€˜Hopefully I can bring a bit of pace and hopefully some good results moving forward.โ€™

The defender has revealed he was oblivious to any interest until a youth game that he was a part of, however due to previous games, already had a brief knowledge of his teammates.

โ€˜I was just at an under 23โ€™s game the other day and I got a phone call after the game, found out there was a bit of interest.โ€™

โ€˜I looked into the club a little bit, but we played here preseason, so I remembered bits about the team.โ€™

Fullarton continues to bolster his defensive options since coming in and this signing could provide good competition for Cliff Moyo and for Josh Wilde when he returns from injury.
