This Saturday, a revitalised FC Halifax Town will look to continue their winning streak as they travel to bottom of the table, Guiseley AFC.

Town have found a new lease of life under the recently appointed Jamie Fullarton and have won three times since he’s been in charge.

The Shaymen completed a brilliant comeback against Dagenham & Redbridge in midweek as they came from 0-1 down to eventually win the match 2-1.

However, as focus turns to Guiseley we’ve picked out one player who could be play a crucial role.

Goalkeeper, Luke Coddington, has been on loan at the Yorkshire club since January and has established himself as their strongest option between the sticks.

The 22-year-old has a wealth of experience and has been involved with the game for several years and has represented England up to Under-19 level.

Coddington’s career began at Middlesbrough where he developed into a confident keeper before being released from his contract in 2016.

The next step of the young stopper’s career was found in West-Yorkshire when he was picked up by Huddersfield town as a free agent. The Terriers were playing in The Championship at the time but Coddington never managed to appear for the first team.

Later in 2016, Wrexham acquired his services for the first time. The Englishman was brought in on a one-month loan and clearly impressed.

However, after returning to Huddersfield he moved on a free-transfer to Northampton Town where he signed a two-year deal.

Perhaps his most convincing period between the sticks came as recently as this season in his second spell with Wrexham when he appeared five times without being on the losing side.

Now, plying his trade at Guiseley, Coddington will look to put in a steady performance and frustrate the town forwards.
