FC Halifax Town will be the hosts of Dagenham and Redbridge on Saturday as the team look for their first win in 6 games.

With two draws in that time The Shaymen have hit another sticky spell and are sitting 19th in the league table, four points outside of the bottom four sides.

However, the side from Yorkshire are in better form than the team they welcome to the MBi Shay Stadium. Dagenham and Redbridge do sit in 10th in the league but are sliding away from the top.

The Daggers have struggled for points in their last 8 games. Only managing one win in their last 8 games, a 1-0 win away at 20th place Barrow.

The side will travel up from Essex for the game which takes place at 3pm on the 3rd of February. John Still, the Dagenham and Redbridge manager has admitted that defending has been a problem for his side. Maybe a weakness for Tom Denton and new signing Shaun Tuton to expose.

Tuton will look to bag his first goal since returning to FC Halifax Town on loan. The striker was at the club during the 2015/16 season when he scored ten goals. Hopefully he can bag his eleventh for the club on Saturday.

Target man, Tom Denton, will also be looking to hit the back of the net on Saturday. After his goal on Tuesday night against Leyton Orient the striker has moved into double figures for goals scored this season, looking to bag his 11th this weekend.

It was a difficult game for the team when The Shaymen travelled down to Essex for the reverse fixture at Victoria Road. The game was essentially over at half time with goals from Craig Robson and Craig Whitely as well as an own goal from Scott Garner putting the home side into a comfortable lead.

Captain Matty Brown did add a consolation with a bullet header late on, but it wasn’t enough for the away side on that day. This result on the 16th of September saw Halifax slide down to 5th in the table.

The Shaymen have really struggled since this loss, they have only managed three league wins since the set back that took them to 5th.
