With a number of former Football League and Premier League players featuring in Leyton Orient’s side, George Elokobi is arguably the biggest name.

The 31-year-old started his career with Non-League’s Dulwich Hamlet in 2002 before signing for Colchester United following a successful trial in 2004.

After 39 appearances for The U’s and a loan spell at Chester City the Cameroon born defender signed for Championship side, Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2007 where he went on to achieve promotion to the Premier League in the 2008/09 season.

With 59 Premier League appearances to his name, Elokobi had become an established player in a strong Wolves’ side.

However, following the club’s relegation in 2012, the defender found first team opportunities limited and was sent out to the Championship with Nottingham Forest and Bristol City on loan making a handful of appearances.

Elokobi then joined League One side, Oldham Athletic in 2014 where he spent one season before returning to Colchester for the 2015/16 season.

After failing to agree a new deal with the club, he signed for Leyton Orient in July 2017 on a two-year deal.

Standing at 6ft tall, Elokobi is one of the most physical players in the league and has made nine league appearances this season scoring one goal.
