Approaching the halfway point in January meant that there were a few FA Trophy second round fixtures to keep fans entertained.

FC Halifax Town were disappointingly knocked out of the competition by Maidenhead United despite going 1-0 up after just 35 seconds. The visiting side managed to grab an equaliser just before halftime thanks to Moses Emmanuel.

The Magpies came out a different side in the second half, finishing the game 4-1. This saw Emmanuel grab a second alongside Harry Pritchard who also scored two, including one from the spot.

Billericay Town were pleased to beat Stourbridge FC at home with a 93rd-minute winner from Billy Bricknell. The home side were 2-1 down before the 65th minute when Ricky Modeste made the score 2-2.

National League side, Bromley scored four as they cruised to victory against National League North side, Blyth Spartans.

Leyton Orient needed extra time to beat Bognor Regis with substitute Josh Koroma getting the vital goal in the 105th minute. George Elokobi made his first appearance since September 23.

Brackley Town managed to get a 0-0 draw with Barrow, forcing a replay.

Ebbsfleet United vs Warrington Town alongside St Albans City vs Harrogate were also level at full time with both games finishing 1-1.

Another game finished as a draw with Kidderminster Harriers and Stockport County being level 2-2 at the final whistle.

There were goals galore at Dover with a score line of 4-3 against Marine. 565 fans watched as seven goals were scored at the Crabble Athletic Ground.

East Thurrock United were the giant killers in the second round beating Chester by just one goal. This sees the National League South side in the hat for the next round.

Gateshead played host to Boreham Wood and it wasnโ€™t a disappointing game for the neutral fan. There were six goals in total with the final score being level at 3-3. The visiting side scored a late penalty through Bruno Andrade which sent the tie to a replay.

Another draw occurred with Workington forcing home side, Weston-Super-Mare to a replay, following a 1-1 draw.

Wins for Spennymoor Town (2-0 vs Solihull Moors) and Wealdstone (1-0 vs Hereford FC) also puts the two sides in the third-round draw.

The final game of the weekendโ€™s cup ties was Sutton United putting three past Hendon.

Alongside the number of FA Trophy fixtures, there were three National League games taking place.

A late goal from Danny Rowe saw AFC Fylde beat Guiseley 2-1. James Roberts had given Guiseley an equaliser in the 30th minute cancelling out Jonny Smithโ€™s 18th-minute opener.

The same score line was seen at Torquay United when they lost to Eastleigh 2-1. Defender Gavin Hoyte grabbed the winner for the away side with Sam Matthews opening in the ninth minute. Torquay scored in the 34th minute with Luke Young claiming the goal.

Andy Cook had a rollercoaster of a game, scoring in the 28th minute and being sent off in the 81st. This didnโ€™t affect Tranmere Rovers as they went on to beat Woking 1-0 away from home.
