Following FC Halifax Town’s 4-1 defeat to Macclesfield Town at the MBi Shay Stadium on Monday, manager Billy Heath gave an update on the current injury situation at the club.

With the loss of some players from the Dover game, there were additions to that list on the fixture on New Year’s Day:

“We lost Michael Duckworth literally in the warm-up with fatigue, just total fatigue.

“That’s just what we have got to contend with.”

However, more positively for Town, Heath did say that multiple players should be available soon:

“We could have a couple of players back, they have all got chances.

“Matty Kosylo’s got a chance, Danny Clarke will obviously be back from his suspension. Scott McManus got a chance and Matthew Brown has got a good chance.

“We tend to go from one extreme to another, where we are struggling to fill the bench and have young players on the bench and then next week we might have two or three sat in the stand.

“Hopefully we’ll get them players back, because when we do and when we get a settled side that has got some shape about it and not square pegs in round holes, we’ll start winning games.

The Shaymen’s next fixture is away against Maidenhead United on Saturday 6 January.
