There is another long trip in store for FC Halifax Town as they travel down south to take on Maidenhead United.

Billy Heath’s men will be hoping they can bounce back following their defeat at the MBi Shay Stadium to Macclesfield Town on New Year’s Day.

Here is what else is happening in the Vanarama National League this weekend.
We will first look at The Shaymen’s previous opponents, Macclesfield, who host relegation threatened Solihull Moors.

The league leaders will be hoping those chasing them will slip up, allowing them to pull even further ahead of the pack, as they will be expectant of getting all 3 points from this fixture.

The Moors, however, come into this one in improved form having won their previous 2 games against Maidenhead and Barrow.

There is a tasty encounter in store at the EBB Stadium between 2 promotion hopefuls, as Aldershot Town and Dover Athletic face off.

Wins have been hard to come by of late for Dover, who have drawn their last 4 games.

The Shots have endured a mixed bag of form, with 2 wins and 2 draws in their previous 4.

3rd placed Sutton United will travel the length of the country behind facing Gateshead at the International Stadium.

Despite their position, Paul Doswell’s side haven’t enjoyed their football of late with their last 5 league outings producing 3 defeats.

With 4 consecutive stalemates in the league, The Heed will set out to add to Sutton’s frustrations.

Rock bottom Torquay United face a daunting trip to 5th placed Wrexham.

The former Football League club have not won in 5, but The Dragons are also going through a winless patch of their own, without victory in 4.

Both Bromley and AFC Fylde come into their encounter on the back of 2 successive wins.

The Ravens currently boast the league’s best attack, with 46 goals in 28 games so far, this campaign, 2 more than Aldershot, who have the next highest tally.
Tranmere Rovers will be aiming to get back to winning ways at Barrow after their 6-match unbeaten run came to an end on Monday.

Before their defeat at the hands of Fylde, the Prenton Park outfit had won in their last 5 on the bounce.

Leyton Orient will hope the league’s joint top goal scorer, Macauley Bonne, will be able to add to his 13 goals as they host Boreham Wood.

The O’s have enjoyed 3 wins in their last 5 league fixtures, while the Wood have only lost once in 15 league games.

Those attending this weekend’s action at Victoria Park will see two teams on a bad run of form.

Dagenham & Redbridge have not won in 4 league games, while Hartlepool United have only tasted victory once in 9.

Another side not enjoying their football now is Chester, who are rooted in the relegation zone after only winning twice since the end of September.
Marcus Bignot’s side travel to Ebbsfleet United who currently sit in 10th position.

Just below the Deva Stadium outfit sits Guiseley, who take on draw specialists Eastleigh, who have 13 ties to their record so far, this campaign.
And finally, in a middle of the table clash, Woking face Maidstone United.

The Cardinals have lost 4 of their last 5 league games, while Maidstone have only won once in 8.
