FC Halifax Town will travel to Hampshire on Saturday to face 4th place Aldershot Town.

The Shots are in fine form now having gone unbeaten in the National League for 5 games since their 3-1 defeat to barrow on the 28th of September. ย Gary Waddockโ€™s men have also kept 4 clean sheets in this fine patch.

Shamir Fenelon has been one of the sides main men this season. The former Crawley Striker is his sides top goal scorer this season with 6 goals. As he looks to help the team back to the play-offs for the second year in a row.

The striker was born in Brighton. Coincidentally where he started his career in 2012 with the seaside club. Fenelon had many loan spells at several clubs including Rochdale, Torquay, Tranmere and Dagenham and Redbridge before he permanently signed for Crawly on a free transfer. After a year at Crawley Fenelon moved on to National League side and present club, Aldershot.

Despite being born in Brighton the striker has Irish heritage and has played 3 games for the Republic of Ireland under 21 side.

In the very first game of the season Fenelon was the danger man for Aldershot as they travelled up to the MBi Shay Stadium. Halifaxโ€™s first game back in the National League was a tricky one as well.

The Irish striker bagged one and had numerous chances ruled out for offside and despite a fantastic save from Sam Johnson Fenelon would have had two.

Despite picking up a knock two games ago and coming off at half time against Bromley, and missing the Torquay game last week. Aldershot will be hoping their star man is back to face The Shaymen on Saturday.
