Today we face Barrow A.F.C. who are currently 19th in the National League table with five wins to their name.

The Cumbrian side have a number of former Football League stars in their ranks with the likes of Adi Yussuf and Dan Jones as well as former Premier League front man, Grant Holt.

Media team member, Charlie Russell caught up with defender, Thierry Audel who joined the Bluebirds this summer after a spell with Notts County.

The Frenchman has a wealth of experience to his name having played for a number of English clubs such as Macclesfield Town, Crewe Alexandra and Lincoln City despite starting his career in his native with AJ Auxerre.

Speaking about the season so far, Audel said: โ€œThis season has gone the way it has because there has been a lot going on!

โ€œSo far this season we are not where we want to be but we work hard every day to improve.โ€

One key addition to the Barrow squad this season is the signing of Holt who played for both the Shaymen and Saturdayโ€™s visitors during the early days of his career.

Audel discussed the impact the former Norwich striker has had on the squad: โ€œGrant is an important addition to the group as he brings experience both on the pitch and off the pitch.

โ€œI can see that he does fit in really well with the group, he is very sociable and all the boys have adopted him as one of us already.โ€

Barrow come into the match on the back of a 3-0 defeat to Bromley.

Audel finished by looking at the squadโ€™s targets throughout the season: โ€œThe teamโ€™s target is to try to win week in, week out and finish as high as we can in the league!

โ€œThere is no limit to our optimism but as a player, I want to play every game and get promoted, nothing less.

โ€œSometimes you win, sometimes you learn and last Saturday we learned our lesson, so we will work hard this Saturday and hopefully weโ€™ll win!โ€
