Defender Ross Barrows has said that the FC Halifax Town squad are sticking together and has backed the Shaymen to overturn their winless this weekend at home to Barrow.
Halifax are without a win in their last ten league matches with their last victory coming against Bromley at The MBi Shay Stadium in late September.
However, Barrows has insisted that the teamβs struggles have not hindered upon their work ethic and attitude.
βThe lads are working every single session and theyβre still 100% behind each other,β Barrows said. βTheyβre 100% behind the manager and working as hard as they can.β
βWe donβt want to be in this situation. We want to get back to the form of the start of the season when we were winning games.β
βWe just need to get back to what weβre good at, which is working hard and stopping teams playing then going and keep doing what weβre doing further up the pitch and scoring goals.β
βWe do have the quality, but weβre just going through a tough patch at the minute. But, all the lads are sticking together, and it looks like weβre going to come out of the other end of it.β
20-year-old Barrows was recalled from his loan spell at North Ferriby United last week and is eager to force his way into the first-team picture.
βObviously, with me being recalled, itβs down to me now really,β admitted Barrows.
βI need to prove in training that I am good enough and prove to the manager that he can trust me if Iβm needed to play.β
βThen, itβs up for me if Iβm given that chance to take it and make it difficult for the manager to drop me.β
The Halifax youth team graduate said that he learned a lot during his time with North Ferriby and felt the experience was invaluable.
βIt was a good chance for me to test myself against better players, older players and more experienced players,β he continued.
βIt was a good test, I enjoyed it and I learned a lot from it. Especially with the position the club were in when I was there, down near the bottom and having to fight for every single point.β
